There’s a version of growth we’re often sold. We were taught to believe that growth is always visible, predictable, and perfect. But growth sometimes is the opposite of that. It's uncertain, uncomfortable and not visible at the first. There are moments where everything feels straightforward, where you feel like you understand yourself clearly. And then there are moments where you fall back into old patterns and wonder if anything changed at all. But those moments are often where growth is happening the most. They show us what still needs attention and what we’re still learning from.
Growth isn’t never falling into old habits or making mistakes. It’s catching yourself sooner. Choosing differently, even if it’s small. Taking responsibility instead of avoiding. Giving yourself grace while still trying to do better. Not seeing results right away but still going. Staying consistent, even when it’s uncomfortable. over time, those small moments start to add up.
